Moorhead sits just across the river from Fargo, and The Meadows plays like the best of prairie golf with a twist. Rolling terrain gives you elevation changes you don't expect this far into the northern plains. At 6,862 yards with a 125 slope, the course asks enough questions without punishing you for leaving the cart behind. Walking is permitted, and on a layout like this, it should be the default. The Red River Valley doesn't have a deep bench of walking-friendly public options, which makes The Meadows worth knowing about. Eighteen holes, honest terrain, and room to stretch your legs.
